In the article a legal relations in the field of grain market functioning is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of the object (grains and products of its processing) and subjects of such legal relationships. Given the purpose of activities of business entities in this area, it is proposed to classify them into general (agricultural commodity producers) and special (grain warehouses, accredited exchanges, agrarian fund, agrarian insurance pool, guarantee fund of fulfillment of obligations for storage documents for grain).
