It were determined the normative nature of the decrees of the President of Ukraine, which are formal sources of agrarian law in contrast to the orders that have an individual law enforcement nature. It is provided the classification of the presidential decrees. The legal force of the decrees of the President of Ukraine is determined on the background of the comparative analysis of presidential decrees of the countries of the post Soviet legal family. It was analyzed an array of the adopted and existing decrees in the agrarian legal sphere and determined their role in the reformation of property relations and the creation of the competitive environment based on private ownership forms of management.
