The article investigates with the problems of the legal regulation of the social activities of the agricultural holdings. It is paid the particular attention to ensuring of the employment of the rural population living in the territories where these companies are engaged in the production activities. Additionally are discussed the issues of participation of these entities in the development of social infrastructure of the village. The author concludes that in the process of legal regulation of the activities of agricultural holdings, measures (both obligatory and stimulating) aimed at strengthening the social component and supporting the development of rural areas should be taken.
