Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of adaptation of the environmental legislation of Ukraine to the legislation of the European Union in the field of the environment, as well as specifies the peculiarities of integration of Ukrainian natural resources legislation with the legislation of the European Union in the field of climate change. It is revealed that the existing normative base of Ukraine in the field of the environment is not sufficient and needs considerable improvement, especially the regulation of climate change at the level of laws. The positive experience of the European community should be an example for Ukraine. That is why it is necessary to borrow such experience from the European Union member states and the Community as a whole, concerning the rational use and conservation of natural resources, environmental protection and the right to a safe and healthy living environment. At the same time, the issue of the integration of Ukraine’s natural resources legislation into the legislation of the European Union is now of particular relevance due to the fact that the problem of adaptation is not only the creation of new legal acts of the national legislation, which take into account the experience of the European Union, but also in order and harmonization of existing and in eliminating contradictions and legal gaps that have arisen already at the latest stage.
