In article it is analyzed the theoretical approaches to the disclosure of the content of the concept of «public services». The features and classifications of public services (state, administrative, municipal, social, managerial, informational) were considered, which made it possible to conclude that they differ from the position of legal significance of services, sphere and subjects of their provision. According to the results of the research, the authors have defined the concept of «public services» and defined the prospects for further research.
