Volodymyr Yermolenko
Abstract

The article analyzes the application of «agro-industrial complex» (AIC) lexical construction in economic and agrarian-legal doctrines. Arguments are provided about the inconsistency of modern agro-industrial complex model with its essential features, the main of which is the presence of permanent and direct links between highly specialized agriculture and industry in terms of lack of stable relationships between agriculture and agricultural machinery industry. Therefore, the current model of the so-called AIC does not correspond to the original idea, due to which this economic phenomenon appeared, which makes it necessary to replace it with more appropriate concepts.
